Sunday, July 14, 2013 11:18 AM While setting up for our annual fair, the Huntington Manor Fire Department dispatcher received a call reporting a possible structure fire at 303 Nassau Road in Huntington Station. Arriving in 3 min Chief of Department Fred Steenson Jr confirmed the working fire with heavy fire blowing out the rear of the house. Assisted by 1st asst Chief Frank McQuade and 3rd asst Chief Jon Hoffman an interior attack was established. Due to the volume of fire and high heat and humidity mutual aid was requested from Huntington and Halesite Fire Deparments. Melviile Fire Department stood by at Manors quarters and Huntington Community First Aid Squad provided ambulance coverage at the scene. All units were back in service by 1 PM.
